QGIS 2.8.2. Bug fixes.
Category: Software
Catching up, part 2
Postgres 9.3.6 and PostGIS 2.1.7.
Part 3 will bring Postgres 9.4, a major update. Sometime in the coming week or so, while I look at new features and test the upgrade process.
Catching up, part 1
PROJ 4.9.1 is the main update in the frameworks. I also updated to SQLite3 3.8.9.0. And finally I updated Shapely in the GEOS framework, and refreshed the GEOS build. (This takes care of the last Snow Leopard remnants, all maintained frameworks are now Lion minimum.)
GRASS Status
I haven’t used GRASS in years. QGIS is my tool now, and where I work.
So, I won’t be packaging GRASS any more, starting with GRASS 7. Check the GRASS website for other sources of Mac packages, Michael Barton will be doing the standard Mac packages.
I may package 6.4.5 when it is released.
I will still bundle GRASS in QGIS for use by QGIS.
QGIS 2.8
QGIS 2.8.1 is finally available. See the QGIS 2.8 Changelog for details.
Along with this is an update to GDAL 1.11.2.
GDAL-ECW Update
The GDAL-ECW plugin has been updated for the latest ECW SDK, and the installation clarified. If you are updating your plugin, make sure to install the latest ECW SDK as well.
GDAL 1.6.0-3
The GDAL framework 1.6 had a libtool linking problem with the programs where they were looking for a library in GDAL 1.5. This is a problem when only GDAL 1.6 is installed, of course. Fixed.
MapServer 5.2.1-3a, for real this time
In my excitement and haste, I forgot to update the MapServer installer itself to check for GDAL 1.6. Done.
GRASS 6.4 RC1
GRASS 6.4 RC1 is now available for testing. See the release notes for details.
MapServer now uses GDAL 1.6
MapServer has been rebuilt to use the new GDAL 1.6.
One down.
